The CACCC Audio-Visual Committee is responsible for getting the photos we need, setting up and shooting videos of our trainings and events, and assisting in video productions.
The Curriculum Development Committee prepares the curriculum for CACCC’s Volunteer, caregiver, and health professional Trainings.
Our Events Committee sets up events like our annual Volunteer Appreciation Day, our Media Recognition Night and our Autumn Festival fundraising event. The committee also helps set up community outreach events and helps to set up our training workshops.
Our Fund Development Committee is responsible for our annual fundraising events, and all that this encompasses. Committee members also seek individual and institutional donations and sponsorships.
The Heart to Heart® Committee is responsible for providing Heart to Heart® Café Facilitator Training, arranging for and holding Heart to Heart® Cafés and working with the CACCC Treasurer on record keeping for Heart to Heart® deck sales and donations from the Cafés. The Committee also assists the research team by ensuring that participant evaluation form data is recorded and ready for data analysis.
Our Interpretation Committee provides simultaneous interpretation for our trainings and at our events.
The Membership Committee recruits new members to the organization. Committee members distribute and collect the CACCC Membership and Volunteer Form, provide orientation for new members, and follow up with volunteers to CACCC committees.
Our Volunteer Support Groups help CACCC-trained volunteers with interpersonal issues, patient care issues, and bereavement issues, and provide emotional and logistical support.
The CACCC’s ongoing media campaign reaches thousands of Chinese through media outlets such as the World Journal, Sing Tao Daily, China Press, Ming Pao, Sing Tao Radio, 1300 Radio, KTSF, and Ding Ding TV.
CACCC Speakers Bureau – a talented group of Mandarin and Cantonese speakers who volunteer to give outreach presentations on end of life issues for community organizations and at Chinese senior centers throughout the state.
The goal of the CACCC Translation Committee is to increase the availability of end of life materials in Chinese by translating existing English educational materials and forms and by creating original Chinese materials. The CACCC translated the Chinese California Advance Health Care Directive, and the California Physician Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment (POLST) form.
The CACCC Warmline (866-661-5687) Committee, provides support for anyone with questions about end of life issues. Our Warmline volunteers have responded to calls from health professionals and Chinese Americans of all ages from all over the country.
The Website & Social Media Committee is responsible for posting updates on announcements, news releases, events and training on the CACCC website and on social media.
