Are you passionate about hospice & palliative care, Asian/Asian-American issues, or nonprofit involvement? Come join our community of compassionate volunteers in providing end-of-life education and training to the Chinese community!

As a volunteer, you’ll play a vital role in helping Chinese individuals understand their end-of-life care options and access essential care resources. From facilitating events to translating important materials, your contributions and support will empower individuals and families to discuss difficult issues and navigate challenging times with dignity.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering opportunities include:

  • Assisting with or facilitating community education and outreach events
  • Translation, interpretation, and transcription
  • Conducting patient visits through partner agencies
  • Helping with fundraising (for example, by identifying potential donors, sponsors, or partners)
  • Joining our speakers group
  • Recruiting volunteers
  • Clerical tasks

Again, for projects that require specialized skills, we will provide training courses.

Since 2005, we have helped thousands of Chinese with advance care planning, hospice, and palliative care thanks to our incredible volunteers. Now, due to the popularity of our events and the increasing demand for our services, we need new volunteers more than ever to keep us moving forward. No matter your gender or age, as long as you’re willing to learn and to contribute, we have a place for you!
