「愛的道別」2017 年美華慈心關懷聯盟有獎徵文活動

The winners of the Chinese American Coalition for Compassionate Care (CACCC) first “Saying Goodbye with Love” Essay Contest is announced. The contest was held to honor the National Healthcare Decisions Day (April 16) and to increase community awareness of the importance of advance care planning and to provide meaningful ways to say goodbye with love to their family and loved ones with no regrets.

Essay contest judges were World Journal chief editorialist Shyh Yaw Chen; award-winner San Jose Mercury News reporter/author of The Cost of Dying series Lisa Krieger; Chinese award-winner authors and novelists Teresa Cheng and Lily Hsueh and CACCC founder/board chair Sandy Chen Stokes.

美華慈心關懷聯盟第一次「愛的道別」徵文活動經幾位知名中英文作家、學者和報社主筆多日來嚴格評審，比賽結果已於五月十五日公佈。共有首獎一名，特獎一位，優選兩位，佳作五名。此次徵文有五位評審：

Lisa Krieger: 聖荷西 Mercury News 記者及專欄作家
Teresa Cheng (雷叔雲）：知名旅美華文作家
Lily Hsueh（李黎）：知名旅美華文作家
Sandy Chen Stokes (陳明慧）: 美華慈心關懷聯盟創辦人及董事會會長

恭喜所有得獎人，希望借此次徵文活動，能鼓勵民眾討論生死問題，如何保有生命末期的尊嚴，重視並及早做好療護計劃，探討自己的生命態度、準備好與親人道別的方式。
