It is common to see in many societal news reports that once an injured or ill person is in a severe coma, unconscious, and relying on life-sustaining equipment, documents about life care rights will be mentioned, one of which is the “Advance Health Care Directive”, abbreviated as AHCD. This document is also often found in many human rights organizations today when end-of-life issues are discussed.

Sandy Chen Stokes, RN, MSN, the founder and board chair of CACCC, will discuss this document, and how it relates to the life rights of each individual.
