In May 2026, The Chinese American Coalition for Compassionate Care (CACCC) received the Community Agency Hero Award from the Behavioral Health Board (BHB) and the County of Santa Clara County Behavioral Health Services during the 15th annual Behavioral Health Community Awards ceremony on Friday, May 8th. The award is in recognition of CACCC’s 2025/2026 Suicide Prevention Program that included culturally-aligned curriculum development and translation of Safe Messaging and Be Sensitive, Be Brave training and resource materials; training CACCC volunteers; Chinese TV/broadcast and print media outreach, social media, outreach and engagement with the Chinese American community, to individuals and families living with serious illness, age 18-44 and older, residing in Santa Clara County.
