A college student at the prestigious Princeton University, full of ideals and curiosity about life, was planning to go abroad to experience different cultures when an accident nearly killed him and changed his life forever. He later became a doctor and was invited to speak at TED Talk, where his video received more than 15 million views.

In this “Celebrity Talk” segment of “The Voice of the Bay Area,” Jiayu Jeng interviews hospice physician Dr. B.J. Miller about how he lost his left arm and leg in the prime of his youth due to youthful indiscretions; how he moved past his pain and grief coming from the brink of death to live life to the fullest; and what he learned about life after his near-death experience and caring for his patients. This is his first interview with Chinese media.
