The ancient concept of mindfulness is derived from meditation. It is the practice of being aware of and attentive to the present moment without judgment, and has been widely used in mainstream medicine to reduce stress and promote physical and mental health. Mindfulness can help one develop fine-tuned perceptive ability, and is a skill that can be learned by anyone. Teresa is a lecturer and project leader of CACCC’s Mindfulness Caregiving Stress Reduction program. She is an award-winning translator who has translated many books on mindfulness, and is trained in mindfulness for stress reduction.
